Terms of Service

Service refers to the DateRoute app (on iPhone and on the web), the invite page, this website, and related services such as support chat and notifications.

User, you, and your refer to any individual accessing or using the Service, whether as the person who books a date or as the person invited to it.

Venue refers to any restaurant, bar, cafe or other place included in a route. Venues are independent businesses and are not operated by DateRoute.

Content refers to any information, text or other material you submit through the Service, such as preferences, ratings, notes and chat messages.

By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

We may modify these terms, for example as the Service leaves beta. We will post the updated terms on this page and update the date at the top. Continued use of the Service following any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically for changes.

DateRoute plans mystery dates in Bangkok. You choose a day, time, budget, vibe and starting area, and we plan a route of stops at venues and reveal them to you one at a time on schedule. The Service currently covers Bangkok only.

The Service is in beta. Features may change, be added or be removed, and the Service may occasionally be unavailable or contain errors.

You can invite the person you are going with through a link. They can join without an account. When you share an invite, you are responsible for sharing it only with the person you intend to invite.

DateRoute is free during the beta. We do not charge for planning or booking a date and we do not take any payment through the Service.

You pay each venue directly for what you order there. The budget you choose guides which venues we pick, but actual prices, menus and bills are set by the venues and are your responsibility.

If we introduce paid features in the future, we will show the price clearly and ask you to confirm before you are charged anything, and we will update these terms.

You sign in with Apple, with Google, or with a one-time code sent to your email address. You are responsible for keeping access to that sign-in method secure and for activity under your account.

You can download a copy of your data and delete your account at any time from the app's settings. Deleting your account cancels any active date.

You represent and warrant that:

• You possess the legal capacity to enter into these terms
• You are of legal drinking age in Thailand if you order alcohol at any venue
• The information you give us is accurate
• Your use of the Service will comply with all applicable laws and regulations

You are expressly prohibited from:

• Using the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Harassing, threatening or abusing our team or any venue staff, including through support chat
• Attempting to interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
• Circumventing any security measures, or trying to see stops before they are revealed by means other than the app
• Engaging in any automated use of the Service, such as scraping

Venues are independent businesses. We choose them with care, but we do not control and are not responsible for their food, drinks, service, prices, opening hours, availability, safety or compliance with law. Your purchase at a venue is an agreement between you and that venue.

Plans can change. A venue may close, be full or change its hours. We may replace a stop when that happens, and you can ask for help through "Chat with us" in the app.

You are responsible for your own safety, travel between stops, and your choices during the date, including what you eat and drink. Directions open in your maps app and are provided by its provider. Tell the venue directly about any allergies or dietary needs; the dietary choices you set help us pick venues but are not a guarantee.

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by DateRoute and are protected by international copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You keep ownership of the Content you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use it to operate and improve the Service, for example to plan your routes, help you in support chat, and learn which venues people enjoy. We will not publish your notes or messages with your name without your permission.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DateRoute and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, nor for any act or omission of a venue.

The Service is provided on an as is and as available basis without any warranty or condition, express, implied, or statutory, particularly while it is in beta.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, without prior notice or liability, if you breach these Terms of Service or misuse the Service, or if we end the beta or the Service.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
